Reviews
I tried ignoring the bad reviews and thought I gave this repair shop a chance, not worth it. They said they can only replace an entire keyboard, not being able to just replace one single bad keycap. It seems they really do try to take extra money for things that are clearly unnecessary.
Careful when you go for repair here!
I went to them for a hinge + backcover repair (gluing) which cost me 49€. However after 3 weeks they said that the glue didn't hold and a replacement is required and would cost 150€. I didn't want that so I got my laptop back, however I found that the screen was cracked internally. I went back to them but cunningly the person told me you've no proof that we damaged it and asked me to show proof that I didn't break it before or after the repair! I had no pictures or videos taken immediately before I gave for repair because I didn't realize something like this could happen and hence I couldn't do anything.
I felt helpless because I knew my screen was good before I gave them for repair. Also, they ask you to sign an agreement beforehand mentioning they are not responsible for any "hidden defects", which in my opinion is a bit deceptive. Clearly shows how inexperienced but devious these people are!
HIGHLY UNRECCOMEMDED: WASTED A TON OF MONEY & TIME TO ALMOST LOOSE MY PC FOR THEIR TERRIBLE SERVICE.
My Lenovo Thinnkpad Workstation at the time of the repair is 3.5 years old and functions good aside from the battery starting to last less than originally and the pc heating up when using rendering software. I use it for academic and professional architectural work without issues. I leave this shop a few weeks later with a pc which to their saying is dead.
I come here to buy a second charger for my pc and to replace my old battery with a new one. The shop owner reccomends buying from them a charger (+50 ish euros) and a battery (+ 60 ish euros) which are not original Lenovo but that work just as the original pieces and cost a little less. I trust him on the fact that they won't provide damage (i specifically ask him to confirm this). After opening my pc he reccomends cleaning of the vents and changing of the thermal paste (+50 euros). I agree and they provide the service timely. From the day after pickup, I notice that the battery dosent last charged much longer than the old original one and that the charger at times switches off during usage (this had never happened to me before). I keep on working with my pc for a few weeks noticing this issue occurs on a daily basis until one day when the charger randomly turns off, also my pc turns off and from that moment never turns on again. Giving sign that it dosent recieve charge. I take it to the pc shop to explain the situation. It is the younger emplyee to 'welcome' me with very rude attitude. He takes the pc and the charger saying they will have an inspection and call me back shortly (+ 50 euros just for the inspection of a problem likely caused by their intevrnetion). They call shortly to inform me that the battery and charger are fine and that it is likely to be a motherboard issue, they don't provide assistance for motherboards and he reccomends buying a new computer as replacing the motherboard would be extremely pricey. He dismisses my comment on the fact that it seems really suspicious that I brought them a well functioning pc and a few weeks after their intervention the computer is to throw away according to them. I agree to having all the data moved to an external memory for fear of loosing it. He says there will be an extra charge (+30 euros) to later find out that they have only retrieved my Internet saved tabs. A couple of days after the pc and external memory are all ready for pick up. The shop owner is here now and the younger employees is on holiday. The owner has no knowledge over the case and can't provide an explanation and says he can't contact his colleague about it. He acts helpless and won't take any responsibility. I arrive home and decide to open the pc and see if by placing my old Lenovo battery back in place anything changes. I am astounded when I find that they forgot to properly screw some of the battery screws and I find them loosely moving inside the pc shell. Luckily the Lenovo factory is able to fix my pc quickly, explaining the damage lies within the motherboard which SHORT-CIRCUITED BECAUSE OF A FAULTY ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CAUSED LIKELY BY A POORELY PLACED BATTERY !!!!
I needed a very quick repair. The chassis of my laptop was damaged in correspondence of a hinge, so I could not close/open the screen properly. They glued it and give me the computer back in 1 day. I hope it last long :)
Recommended.
Would not recommend for pc repair. The inspection/repair was taking more than a month, while I was initially told that it would take a week. Poor communication from their side throughout the process. By the end I did not learn anything new about the issue of my pc, had to pay 50 euros for inspection costs and received back a laptop with issues that weren't here before.
I've been here a few times, but they are unable to politely guide their customers into a solution or a sale. Shame.
I went to this shop after my laptop had water damage. I was not really happy with the service as I payed for the problem to be fixed and was told that my computer could not be saved. When I tried myself I was able to at least partly solve my problem and recover my data etc anyway (even though I am no expert). I went back to talk about this. I showed them what I did and we talked about a solution that suited us both, which meant partly my money back.
I was not 100% happy with the service initially provided, however they were very understanding and thoughtful when I returned. They really deliver proper customer service in this way and I am happy with the outcome!
They were really kind to me. I went to Computershop Delft to verify if my card had been damaged by the classic souvenir magnet, because it was not working at another business in Delft. The staff allowed me to try it out and I could verify that my card was alright. It was fully relieving, thanks.
